Someone's Fired
When you're a stenographer for the United States Congress it's usually pretty important that you get the facts straight...especially when you're talking about nuclear weapons.
The Sudanese government became quite upset when a typing mistake indicated that Sudan was a site for nuclear weapons testing in 1962 and 1970. They immediately started their own investigation and demanded to know what was going on.
It turns out that Sudan should have been spelled Sedan (the name of a testing site in Nevada). Foreign Minister Mustafa Osman Ismail was relieved to learn the reports were not true.
I know people make mistakes, but when you're talking about nuclear weapons that should be the one time you definitely don't let anything get by you.
